SpiderOak is a software product that offers users to store on a remote server their sensitive data. The application allows to synchronize on any computer, regardless of operating system. SpiderOak offers a different approach to traditional online backup solution by combining a suite of services, including online backup, synchronization, sharing and remote access in a single tool. SpiderOak has a flexibility to manage any type of data on any operating system from any storage device through a single account.

The creation of an account is required to use online backup, 2GB of storage being offered.

SpiderOak uses a strong encryption algorithm for secure file sharing. The software keeps a copy so that, if necessary, the user can restore deleted files later.
