The pimples that dotted the interface of older versions have been reduced in number, the play button offers more ergonomic and menu bar disappears by default and can be reactivated in the options.
Windows Media Player also allows user to rip music from an audio CD and save it in the library.

With Windows Media Player the user can create his own perfect audio CD from audio files on the PC. These CDs can hold about 22 songs in normal mode and a hundred in compressed mode.
