Instant messaging, audio chat, video conferencing, file sharing, emoticons animated winks, Wizz, all are possible with Windows Live Messenger. It is also possible to customize the text sent to the correspondents (color, font and size), the color or the bottom of the conversation window, sort the contacts by categories, etc.

Windows Live Messenger also displays updates statutes and information from MySpace, LinkedIn and Facebook messages with the integration stream, shared images and videos. In addition to conventional arrivals Mail alerts, user will receive notifications from Facebook. The photos on Facebook and Skydrive can be quickly used and shared on MSN.

In addition, Windows Live Messenger supports HD video conversations if user will have an HD webcam and sufficient bandwidth. Side of image sharing the software has the ability to create and control the spread of slideshows, but also view them in full screen.
