VLC Media Player is a famous open source media player. It can play almost all formats of video and audio including HD: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, AAC, MP3, OGG, AVI, WMV , MOV, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc and network streams proposed for WebTV, all without having to download anything else.
